| Took my annual pilgrimage down from Harrisburg, PA down to Sebring, FL once again. Bernie’s house is only 16 miles from the Amtrak AutoTrain so I stopped by there the day before and fixed a couple of electrical Z gremlins. got rid of my idiot brake light
the 60 LED third brakelight on my Kami spoiler kept tripping it on so I pulled it
next day got aboard the Amtrak Auto Train in Lorton, VA
arrived early at the Sebring International Raceway to set up camp before the crowds arrived
One of the highlights for me was I snuck my car into the SVRA Historic car parade that took place a couple of days before the big race. Besides getting me an excellent parking spot, I also got to drive > 110 mph with a police escort between the track and downtown Sebring, a distance of about ten miles. There was a Chevelle in front of me and a Corvette behind me. these are three of my buds, Ken, Stan and Mike next to my car at during the Historic car parade

In the main race, I had this car in our betting pool which was highly favored to win overall, but it came in second. That didn't pay :c( Another Audi R8 came in first, which I think makes five years in a row Audi has won, which ties Porsche's record.
some of you may have heard of Carroll Shelby. He was the Grand Marshal of the race.
Corvette continued their domination in the GTS class, this was the winning car
Our campsite and scaffolding from across the track
our camp was surrounded by the time the race started
we have an excellent view of the hairpin from our scaffolding
and then God created woman – Milka Duno
There are more pics on my web site if you’re interested. I go to the races every year with the same group of guys since high school.
